Pollen

At some point in the past week, the seasons changed from Spring to Summer. This past weekend, coincidently, marked the beginning of summer. The past month has been mild and very rainy, but quite recently it's gotten warm and sunny, and it looks like it'll be that way in the near future. With the arrival of such nice weather, I naturally want to spend time outside to bask in the sun and get some color in my skin. Therein lies the problem: at this time of year, there's lots of pollen in the air, and my allergies bother me like a swarm of bees buzzing around me (interestingly, bees pollenate flowers). Anyway, my nose is completely stuffed up and taking some over the counter allergy meds but they don't seem to be doing much. And when I went outside today for lunch, I noticed a dusting of pollen on the bench where I ate. Ugh. On the positive side, my arms are little red so I did get some sun.
